Escape Vermont, LLC dba Escape Room 60 hosts escape-themed games (“Games”). The Games trap participants (groups) in escape-themed story lines. Participants work together to move through the story line and escape.
All participants play the Games at their own risk.
Games take place in dimly lit rooms with closed doors. Lighting is bright enough to read and navigate successful escape. Closed doors are unlocked. Prior to Game onset, participants are required to inspect the Game room and determine whether the Game room is safe. Game onset constitutes participant acknowledgment that the Game room is safe and suitable for its intended purpose.
All Games involve props, machinery, equipment, and tools. Such are scattered throughout Game rooms. Prior to Game onset, Escape Room 60 agents instruct participants regarding the safe use of such. Participants are responsible for following instructions and for injuries and/or property damage resulting from a failure to follow instructions.
Games are a race against time. Race-against-time games inherently trigger charged emotions. Charged emotions can result in impulsive thoughtless decisions and responses. Participants are responsible for managing their charged emotions. Participants are responsible for injuries and/or property damage resulting from an inability to manage charged emotions or mismanagement of charged emotions.
Games may require physical activity (ie. crouching, crawling, lifting). No climbing. Participants are prohibited from climbing. Participants are responsible for determining their fitness to engage in physical activity during a Game. Participants are responsible for any injuries resulting from a lack of fitness.
In case of injury, accident, illness, and/or medical emergency, Escape Room 60 agents will respond accordingly. Game onset constitutes participant consent to impromptu medical treatment. Escape Room 60 agents are not trained medical professionals and are not responsible for unintentional errors in judgment or treatment.
Participants are required to monitor their health and stay home if they are sick or exhibiting Covid-19 symptoms. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offers a list of Covid-19 symptoms. A link to the CDC list of Covid-19 symptoms is provided here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html?utm_campaign=AC_CRNA. Participants are responsible for reviewing this list. Game onset constitutes participant acknowledgment that they reviewed this list and are healthy and free of Covid-19 symptoms.
Participants are encouraged to wear facemasks at Escape Room 60 property and during Games, but it is not mandatory. Escape Vermont, LLC dba Escape Room 60 and its agents enforce Vermont mandates or law. Participants unwilling to adhere to any requirements will be denied service. Escape Vermont, LLC dba Escape Room 60 is not responsible for medical conditions or responses caused by wearing a face mask on Escape Room 60 property or during a Game.
Hand Sanitizer Requirement
Games involve frequent contact with Game room props, machinery, equipment, and tools. At times, participants may knowingly or unexpectedly come in contact with each other. Participants are required to use hand sanitizer upon entering a Game room and during a Game when reasonable. Hand sanitizer can be found throughout the Escape Room 60 property including inside all Game rooms. Participants requiring specific brands or types of hand sanitizers are responsible for bringing and using such. Escape Vermont, LLC dba Escape Room 60 and its agents are not responsible for unforeseeable medical responses caused by participant use of hand sanitizer offered on Escape Room 60 property or brought onto Escape Room 60 property by the participant.
Escape Room 60 agents monitor and enforce participant adherence to this requirement without fail and without exception.
Games are photographed and monitored by video camera. Game onset constitutes participant consent to use of photographs and videos, or the like, for reasonable purposes. Participants are prohibited from taking photographs or videos, or the like, while participating in a Game.
Participants are responsible for themselves and their belongings while on Escape Room 60 property and during a Game. Escape Vermont, LLC dba Escape Room 60 is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced personal property.
Drugs and alcohol are prohibited anywhere in or on the Escape Room 60 property. Participants are prohibited from playing a Game while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Escape Room 60 and its agents reserve the right to deny service to participants believed to be under the influence. Police will be summoned when necessary. Onset of a Game constitutes participant acknowledgment of sobriety. In the event a participant under the influence slides past an Escape Room 60 agent upon entry, that participant is responsible for injuries and/or property damage resulting from participating under the influence.
Participants must be at least eighteen (18) years old. Participants seventeen (17) years old or younger require a Parent/Guardian’s signature to participate.
THE SMOKE DETECTORS AND SIRENS IN THE CEILINGS ARE A PART OF OUR ACTIVE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM. YOU ARE NOT TO TOUCH THEM OR ANYTHING ELSE IN THE CEILINGS.
